First and foremost, I want to say that I am very proud of our team for competing in their first ever FIRST FTC competition! I would also like to extend my gratitude to those parents that did not hesitate to help out and encourage our students.
Below is the official documents (Event Agenda & Event Information) for the Marshall FTC Qualifier on November 17-18, 2017. More information is to follow, along with a post of recent progress at the team practices. Stay tuned!
As the DKMS Robotics Team's first major event, the FIRST Robotics Season Kickoff, I feel that we all did a great job! I want to thank the students for trying their best in new situations, learning tons of new information and meeting new people, and being on their absolute best behavior and representing Delton Kellogg well and with pride. I want to also thank the parents who attended as they were ready and willing to help out when the need arose as well as being a great support to the students and myself. Below are the events and sessions that at least one or more students or coaches were able to attend at the kickoff:

Thank you to everyone that camp to the DKMS Robotics Summer Camp. I can truly say that everyone involved (including the adults) learned a lot! I think that we are one step closer to being prepared for the up coming FIRST Robotics season.

This weekend, Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th, the Grand Rapids Public Museum and GVSU will be hosting a Mini Maker Faire. This will allow students who have an interest in seeing new technologies being developed as well as getting some hands on experience. This is a great opportunity!
What is Mini Maker Faire?
Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects.
We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.
Glimpse the future and get inspired! -GRPM
Homework for campers coming next week: If your kids are so inclined have them learn about App Inventor.
We had a great first day!
